The Regulatory Sciences team ensures all activities are fully aligned, our processes are well implemented and comply with global regulations and the products are of highest quality. Welland Medical understands the importance of supporting the local community through employee initiatives, such as fundraising and volunteering. Our community support is led through our commitment to St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley. Dedicated to providing expert end of life care and support to local people and their friends, families and carers. Our partnership with St Catherine’s Hospice has been a huge success with staff coming together for a host of fundraising activities and Welland being named as the official sponsor of the charity’s Midnight Walk. Welland Medical’s desire, together with its staff, to make an active contribution to the local community is further reinforced with our sponsorship of flower displays throughout Crawley town centre and our continued work with local schools and colleges to offer work experience placements and apprenticeship schemes to students.

Welland Medical employs over 180 staff who are mainly involved in Production/Operations, but also in Research and Development, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Administration and Human Resources. At Welland Medical we recognise that our staff are our greatest asset. Our on-going commitment to the high quality training and development of all personnel is demonstrated through our achievement of the Investors in People Gold in September 2012 and then Champion Status in May 2013. We are one of only a few manufacturing companies in the South East of England to have achieved this status.
